A Saskatoon native now based in Ontario, Suzie Vinnick is a celebrated powerhouse of the Canadian Roots and Blues scene. A 3x Juno Nominee, 12x Maple Blues Award winner, and 2x Canadian Folk Music Award winner (including a recent 2024 win), Suzie’s soulful versatility is matched only by her work ethic.
Suzie is a commanding multi-instrumentalist whose performances on guitar and bass radiate pure joy. Her voice—a gorgeous instrument that soars, growls, and whispers—draws from a deep, deep well of emotion. Her work increasingly takes her abroad; between Canadian dates, she has traveled for performances in Switzerland, Italy, and Germany, as well as the U.S. and the Netherlands. In early 2026, she performed in New Jersey with Beppe Gambetta and at venues across Chapel Hill and Durham, NC.
Her career includes sharing the stage with JJ Cale, opening for John Hammond Jr., and performing as a special guest of Blackie & the Rodeo Kings alongside Daniel Lanois. From The Vinyl Café to performing for peacekeepers in the Persian Gulf, Suzie Vinnick remains a defining and deeply soulful voice in modern Roots music.
