"I found nothing online about Tony, a fine blues pianist who I knew in my first blues band, Juke. My feeling is that Tony was a few years older than me so maybe born around 1952 or thereabouts. Tony was friends with the leader of the band, harmonica player/singer Chris Blue. I had enjoyed playing blues before that but it was great to be in a dedicated blues band. Tony was funny and made us laugh and he loved the blues. I saw him later on, working at Roan Sound and we'd always share a laugh. I'm not sure when he passed but it's quite a long time ago (maybe 20 years?)." Credit Dave Harris
"Our band Honey Bee, had the honour of having Tony join us. He played with us for a number of years and he added so much to our sound. He was the only keyboard player we ever had and we missed him when he left to pursue another direction.
Even though he was classically trained he adapted quickly to our rootsy blues style and filled out our sound. Tony was easy to get along with, making it harder to see him go.
Later on when we had gigs and he didn’t, he would babysit our kids, then 10 and 7.
He had a lovely child like quality to him and loved to play games with our kids. I remember one night coming home after a gig and the dining room floor was wet from end to end! Tony unabashedly said that they were having ice cube races!
The kids obviously loved Tony!
Miss you Tony. Thanks for the music and the laughs! RIP." Credit Sharon Wadsworth
