Barney began rehearsing in 1971, then flew in an agent from Music Shoppe in Toronto to hear their music and get bookings with clubs in Northern and Southern Ontario. Chico, the band's lead singer left the band a year later to get married, while Barney began touring with a "Platters" tribute band.
This incarnation of the group continued on tour across Canada, eventually ending up in Hawaii.
