The Redwood Plan

THE REDWOOD PLAN have burst onto the Seattle music scene with riffs and hooks to make you move. The band has just released their highly-anticipated full length debut, "Racing Towards the Heartbreak".

"Racing Towards the Heartbreak" showcases The Redwood Plan's talents from the epic opening track, "Low Key", to the riffs and hooks of "How the Game is Played" that have gained The Redwood Plan a notable following across the country.

The Redwood Plan features vocalist/keyboardist/guitarist Lesli Wood, best known as the charismatic frontperson of Ms. Led, along with bassist Larry Brady, guitarist Sydney Stolfus and drummer Betty ST. Wood brings her high-energy showmanship and in-your-face lyrics to The Redwood Plan's groove-heavy stylings. All veteran musicians, the members' accomplishments include extensive tours in the U.S. and Europe and features in Time Out New York, Venus Zine, The Advocate, and Devil in the Woods. Collectively, the band's chemistry is undeniable in creating a unique and addictive sound.

Amongst buzz from press and radio alike, The Redwood Plan hit the ground running in 2009 with high energy performances to packed venues from Seattle to Austin's SXSW, charting at no. 1 on KEXP's Northwest Charts (and 9 in the KEXP Variety Charts), and landing opening slots for national acts such as The Ettes, Seaweed, and Ida Maria. John Richards (KEXP, Seattle Sound) referred to the band as, "just the kind of energy and attitude the Seattle scene was missing. The debut ep blew me away". Megan Seling (107.7FM, The Stranger) calls the band, "one of Seattle's newest and greatest dance punk bands". Their 2nd ep, Movers Shakers Makers, was voted amongst the Top 90.3 Albums of 2009 by KEXP listeners.

As with their previous two ep's, the band worked with Martin Feveyear at Jupiter Studios on their latest release. The album is a collections of sharp, dancey hooks with a heavy dose of energy for fans of You Say Party We Say Die, The Faint, Q and Not U and Ting Tings.
