. Friday, September 10th IMU presents ANALOG BELL SERVICE w/ AUNTS AND UNCLES & TARIQ @ The Railway Club, 579 Dunsmuir . Doors 9pm / Cover $12 @ the door

ANALOG BELL SERVICE - 5 Guys. 2 Brothers. 2 Atlantic Canadians. 1 Californian. They came together because of a rehearsal space in Chinatown that could only be accessed by ringing a bell on a string. Substance influenced jams were recorded and eventually chiseled into songs. The songs were arranged into a set and played at the legendary 524 Main St parties and the band was born. http://www.myspace.com/analogbellservice

AUNTS AND UNCLES was formed in early 2009 by members of an eclectic mix of bands including The SSRIs, The Barcelona Chair and Like Animals Again. A potent mix of indie rock and chamber pop, the genre-blending trio fuses indie, folk, baroque, pop and rock elements (sometimes individually, sometimes all at once!) accompanied by baritone guitar, violin, drums, glokenspiel and occasional ukulele or keyboards. http://www.myspace.com/auntsanduncles

TARIQ - Juno nominee and CBC Radio 3 music host Tariq is a soulful singer/songwriter known for his EMI hit "Chevrolet Way". His latest album "Goodbye Lonely" features acoustic guitar, pedal steel and Wurlitzer organ augmenting his trademark gravelly voice on an intimate journey through the lonely landscape of modern suburbia.
