Don’t know what to play? Perfect, you’re in! Come to this open jam for people ages 14-31 and be a part of this unique musical experience. The group will take participants’ song suggestions, from any genre, and make it their own! This workshop will have an experimental approach where music is created using musical instruments as well as everyday objects. From guitars to kazoos, violins to spatulas, and ukuleles to wooden spoons, if it fits in with the tune, anything goes!
Participants will also learn to write songs as a group, inspiring the individual songwriters to come alive. Wear your heart on your sleeve as you learn to be the songwriter and performer you have always wanted to be. Jessica Benini will guide you on this journey and encourage you to explore your inner creativity. Join her for this rare and exciting experience of creating music from the heart and living in the moment. Being spontaneous and willing to look silly is a must. Be prepared to forgive yourself when you fail, let go of your fears and try new things! And most of all, HAVE FUN!
