Miscellaneous Masculinities (Misc Masc.) Pub Conversations Part 1: Connecting with Family
About this Event
Cheers to Social Change!
Miscellaneous Masculinities is a group of community members who are dedicated to exploring healthy expressions of masculinity. Join us at The Copper Owl for Part One of Misc Masc: Connecting with Family, where we will dive into a thoughtful conversation about how masculinity impacts our ability to connect with others in meaningful ways. We have elicited guest speakers Sheldon Kitzul (ReImagining Masculinities), Paula Greene (Men's Trauma Centre) and Poet Byron Fry to get the conversation started.
Central to the evening is the opportunity to grab a drink and mingle with other community members to engage in meaningful conversations about how masculinity impacts our ability to create and sustain healthy relationships.
The event is open to people of all genders, backgrounds, experiences, and orientations who are interested in participating in a creative and critical discussion about masculinity.
Please note that this is a pro-feminist event and our expectation is that patrons enter this space with thoughtful and respectful intentions.
Tickets are $15 and can also be purchased at the door. We recognize the finances might be a barrier to attending. Please feel free to contact Nick ([email protected]) for sliding scale options.
