Event Description

Dear Witches, Wizards, Warlocks, Sorcerers, and Sorceresses of All Genders,

Prepare your broomsticks and dust off your spell books, because the most enchanting event of the year is just around the corner! We are thrilled to invite you to the Kingston Witches’ Walk on October 5, 2024.

It’s tonight! Today’s basic schedule:

Meet us at 6PM in Skeleton Park.
Bring your donations for the Elizabeth Fry Kingston.
We’ll have an instructional demo of the witches hexa dance by our dear sister witches, The Cauldron Sisters Napanee!
Then speeches, our spell, and the walk begins!
We suggest using one of our Witches Road maps for stops to enjoy (maybe get a photo) along your walk. Also think about doing the walk as a coven.

This year, we are thrilled to announce that we will be collecting donations for the Elizabeth Fry Kingston Society.

How You Can Help
We kindly ask participants to bring donations of hygiene products or cash donations. These will go a long way in supporting the women served by the Elizabeth Fry Kingston Society. Your generosity will help ensure women in need have access to basic necessities, promoting dignity and health.

About the Elizabeth Fry Kingston Society
The Elizabeth Fry Kingston Society is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to improving the social, economic, and political status of women, particularly those who are socially and economically oppressed. Established in 1949, the society has a long-standing history of empowering women through community outreach, social justice services, and affordable housing.

The organization provides a range of programs and services, including:

Intervention & Integration: Offering legal oversight, information sessions, and programs to prevent homelessness.
Education Programs: Helping women build financial independence, self-confidence, and mental health.
Housing Programs: Assisting women in overcoming societal barriers to promote healthy, independent lifestyles.
Community Kitchen & Gardens: Creating spaces for women to come together and promote nutrition, health, and wellness in a spirit of cooperation and diversity.
By participating in the Kingston Witches’ Walk and donating hygiene products and cash, you are directly contributing to the well-being and empowerment of women in our community.

Witches’ Road 1 directions:

Begin with your sister witches in Skeleton Park/McBurney Park, north side by the obelisk monument.
Head down to the giant hag stone. What is a hag stone? A big stone with a hole in it. You can find it at 221 Queen St.
Head down to the tunnel of light and sing the Witches’ Road. This is the hidden back alley gem and part of the Rocheleau Court. Just off Brock Street (67 Brock).
There be gargoyles! Find the mystical creature made by by Barry Blonden on the doorway. 312 King St East.
End your journey meeting your fellow sisters at Market Square. We’ll be joined by the Cauldron Sisters and a few closing words.

Witches’ Road 2 directions:

Begin with your sister witches in Skeleton Park/McBurney Park, north side by the obelisk monument.
Head down to the old limestone building with flame torch lights and a big metal gate. Are we in Salem or Kingston? Welcome to the Renaissance Event Venue at 285 Queen St.
It’s time to run amok! Head down to Sydenham Street where there are play sets and colourful chairs. Give the locals a little cackle while you are there.
Head down to Rocheleau Court. This is the hidden back alley gem where you can find Chez Piggy and the Toucan. Explore the shadows and rub a good luck stone.
End your journey meeting your fellow sisters at Market Square. We’ll be joined by the Cauldron Sisters and a few closing words.
