Join us for Heritage Hour this fall in conversation with Ellie Deir! As a church, community hub, gathering space and arts performance venue, The Spire has served many functions since the church's construction in the 1850s.
Ellie will lead an engaging discussion about the church’s architecture, historical figures connected to it, and why The Spire represents a creative example of how to repurpose and celebrate heritage buildings.
Ellie is a former assistant professor in the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University with a wealth of experience working on various heritage projects in Kingston.
Discover Kingston’s rich history with Heritage Hour! The quarterly sessions feature speakers from across the community who speak about Kingston’s past and living heritage. Registration is not required, and all are welcome to attend.
Heritage Hour is hosted in Memorial Hall, located on the second floor of City Hall, from 12 - 1 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
