Event Description

Event type: All Ages

Even ardent viewers of all things strange, sinister, and suspenseful may be thrown for a loop by the events that unfold in this thriller. The second feature by the Toronto team of Madeleine Sims-Fewer and Dusty Mancinelli, HONEY BUNCH is an ingenious homage to the most mind-bending thrillers of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. The real-life duo behind films such as THE HEIRLOOM (KCFF25), Grace Glowicki and Ben Petrie star as Diana and Homer, a couple who come to a mysterious facility in hopes of helping Diana recover from an accident that’s left her with memory issues. Disturbing visions suggest there may be a darker side to this place; despite all of her husband’s expressions of care and devotion, Diana begins to wonder if there’s anyone she can trust. Viewers may feel even more unsettled as the film sends them in directions that no one could expect.
