Canada's oldest public high school is closing its doors in June 2020. 3 of us (Sean, Alex & Harrison) attended and met at KCVI. Taco went to Regi, also in Kingston, ON. KCVI is a special place and we felt privileged to be a part of its story.

This music video is an ode to one of our favourite 80s films, The Breakfast Club, to Canada's oldest english high school KCVI and to some of the amazing artists who came through its hallowed halls.

Check out our 'Easter Egg' Video, we chat about making the video and some of the easter eggs we hid along the way:

'Sunny Ways' is a track that really captures our debut record's tenor. Thematically, it represents coming to terms with differences, disagreements, and friction in our relationships, and deciding to celebrate the dichotomy. While the lyrics themselves may not strike that optimistic tone on their own, when they're wrapped up in the funky and lighthearted feel of the music they take on a different meaning entirely. Fun Fact: the term 'Sunny Ways' appears nowhere in the lyrics; the song was originally intended to be quite sombre, but once the composition was fleshed out, it felt wrong to try and quash the uplifting vibe of the music, and so we decided to flip the meaning on it's head, and it earned the title 'Sunny Ways'.
