Erika Lamon - My Other Life (Live) -

A solo performance of my song, My Other Life, filmed by Dave Wreggitt during the summer of 2019 at the Blu Martini, Kingston. Lyrics at the bottom. As always, thank you for listening! :)

LYRICS
My other life is calling again,
it breathes and demands to be fed.
I contemplate leaving it out in the cold
with a sign that reads, “For you to take home”

These matters are best left unshared.
If I open that door, it won’t close anymore.
Will I spend my nights turning to the days
I watch burn away?

Oh….oh…

CHORUS
I’m so done with taking these shifts.
I’m done trading for a life
that I can’t even call my own.
And they say I’m the lucky one
…. an entertaining thought,
spoken like it’s all for fun and games.

I’ve always been undisappointing.
Is that why the loneliness sends me reeling?
Always, always, always wanting ...
Always, always, always waiting …

CHORUS

Oh...oh....
