Heavily influenced by the brilliance of the French gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt, Newfoundland’s Duane Andrews is a virtuosic guitarist whose unique blend of jazz and folk music is consistently recognized by both industry and fans with awards and accolades. Andrews melds traditional Newfoundland music, with its mix of French, Irish, Portuguese, and English influences, with Manouche (gypsy jazz), blending two disparate worlds into a cohesive, beautiful, and very musical experience. His most recent CD is Crocus (Andrews). Steve Hussey guitar, Patrick Boyle trumpet, Dave Row bass.
