A retired nomad of many years, Caitlin Connelly credits the Rocky Mountains for giving her music roots. No longer living in her van, hitch-hiking the coast of California, the outback of Australia, and the rice fields of Bali, she finds inspiration in the community that has seen her grow most - Banff, Alberta. A fan of immortalizing all types of "endings" in her songs, the singer uses rich warmth to express her emotions in unusually honest lines that still somehow resemble poetry and remind the listener of a past lover, or the first time they ate their favourite fruit. Connelly blends folk, powerful vocals, and the soft twang of country to create something of a modern deja-vu from the old years of speakeasies and the Grand Ole Opry.
