About

The Shockers

Label: RCA Victor International
circa 1964 - circa 1968
The Shockers were formed in [Vancouver] British Columbia, and were lucky enough to win the "Battle Of The Bands" at the PNE fair in Vancouver in 1966. They won an opportunity to record a single for RCA Canada. Their choice was the Spencer Davis Group song Somebody Help Me. They were well known for their wild stage show (for the time) and their hard, driving sound.
