Instruments: Drums details
Picture taken at Oly's Cabaret in the Olympic Hotel Victoria B.C. with the band Tyrro.

Growing up as a kid in Victoria, Ed Cliffe wanted to play drums. But to be enrolled in drum lessons was no free ride as his parents agreed to the choice, if he paid a portion if not most of the cost himself. That developed his musical abilities and an early appreciation of his chosen craft. The end of the1970's found Ed gigging regularly with local band Tyrro but he eventually relocated to Vancouver during the 1980's in an effort to further his career. It wasn't long before his competence as drummer, coupled with strong vocal harmonies got Ed noticed and he formed a rock trio known as The Knobs playing Vancouver's “A” room club circuit for many years. Today Ed along with his Knobs alumni, bassist Ricky Renouf, are the rock solid rhythm section of The Darby Mills Project and can be seen playing all across Canada during 2018 kicking off April 7 at the Fairview in Vancouver
