Thirty years after the death of jazz pianist Bill Evans, the music he played or composed is reinterpreted by Effendi Records artists Michel Donato bass, François Bourassa piano, Frank Lozano saxophone and Pierre Tanguay drums. Their just-released album AUTOUR DE BILL EVANS is considered one of the best of the fall season. These four outstanding musicians from the Montreal jazz scene draw from their collective experience and their love of Bill Evans’ music to pay tribute to one of the greatest pianists in jazz history.
