"Just received the sad news that Dave Cowan passed away yesterday afternoon.
Dave was an important member of bands that Dan Richard & I formed in Powell River.
In early 1970, the three of us moved to Surrey and from there to Victoria.
We were quickly hired by Reg Young as the house band at ‘Reggie’s Club’.
From that we became ‘Sunnybrook Farm’, playing all around Victoria & the Island.
Dave left the band in late ‘71, so we got Dave Vidal to fill in for a few months until we found Bob Geddes.
I’ve remained fond of Dave to this day.
