Straight from the shores of…Yellowknife, NWT?! Boasting a sound more commonly found significantly south of their home base, Booze Cruise does not let their cold climate slow them down. In fact, while drawing inspiration from everything from extra large coffees to Jagerbombs, bands that play faster than Booze Cruise exist few and far between. While the isolation and climate leaves many of their contemporaries contented to be local legends, Booze Cruise strives to achieve much more on a far greater scale.
Formed in May 2010, Booze Cruise quickly gained a solid local following, then promptly hit the road en route to a 12-day studio session in Calgary in February, 2011. The result is Moose Stuff. With powerful production from Casey Lewis (This Is A Standoff, The Evidence, Knucklehead, 40 Gun Flagship, and many more), Moose Stuff stretches the limits of a once very defined genre. From the speedy pop-punk of “Dance Club”, to the imposing thrash of “I'm OCD”, all the while employing boastful vocal harmonies throughout, Booze Cruise touches on all the staples of both the skate-punk and thrash-metal genres, while adding their own flavour at every turn.
Releasing July 26, 2011, Booze Cruise will embark on an intense touring schedule in support of Moose Stuff, with every intention to stake a name for one of the coldest regions in the country as a punk rock hotbed.
