Sara Marreiros Quartet

Victoria�s Portuguese purists have an extra-big smile when they think about Sara Marreiros, whose understanding of the raw and passionate realm of fado runs deep. Sara is a well-rounded singer and her performances are a lively mix of fado, lilting Brazilian tunes, and highly polished jazz gems. Check out her excellent 2002 release, Alma de Terra. With Ken Hall guitar, Nathan Gage bass, and Kelby MacNayr percussion.
