About

The Insignificant Figures

circa 2004 - circa 2010
The Insignificant Figures are an acoustic rock quintet from Victoria, BC. Consisting of guitar, hand percussion and classical string accompaniment (cello and viola), they possess a unique sound. Their lyrics are largely narrative, and tell stories of love, loss, rain, and travel, all themes of Island life. With musical genes inherited from artists like The Weakerthans, Sarah Harmer and (the West Coast's own) The Odds, they provide a wry look at life on Canada's left coast.
