With his basso croon – Trevlon is on record admitting a love for Englebert Humperdink – and Joy Division-by-way-of-Johnny Cash songwriting, the songs swagger and holler with hellfire of a persona who collects broken hearts and dreams. Why else tell your lady that when you look in her eyes you “can see the sunset.” Not exactly a vote for the dawning of a new relationship now is that? But from the jaded darkness comes one of my top Canadian albums of the year. See him live for sure as the band is positively smoking."
