Jim’s melody-driven songs and trademark soaring voice wander through rich lyrical territories, and he performs them with gripping intensity. The multi-instrumentalist and songwriter’s work has been described as “stunning” by ARIA nominated engineer Jimi Maroudas (The Avalanches, Kimbra) and he now brings his solo performance to Canadian stages, after a permanent move in 2015.
After nearly a decade with his band Autumn Gray, touring as harmonist, keyboardist, banjo and cajon player with the critically lauded Luke Legs and the Midnight Specials, and his recent solo shows, he is now looking forward to bringing his intimate and passionate solo show to a wider Canadian audience.
Jim’s live show includes original songs and selected covers performed on guitar, banjo, ukulele, harmonica and stomp box, and the occasional piano. Jim is also available for covers sets.
