In an industry brimming with talent, Kingston, Ontario-based indie-folk artist, Julia Finnegan, stands out. In 2015, Finnegan released her debut EP, 'Thoughts Collide," which received radio-play coast-to-coast, across Canada on CBC radio.
In spring 2019, she completed her Bachelor of Fine Art degree at Queen's University; specializing in oil painting. Throughout summer 2019, Finnegan attended an accelerated Music Business Program at Humber College in Etobicoke which gave way to the opportunity for her to intern for Virginia Clark's concert-promotion company Flying V Productions.
"It’s the kind of talent that quiets the room and leaves you asking when the second EP comes out."
- Nick Pearce, Visit Kingston
Finnegan has seen music from all sides. She has worked behind the scenes and has shared the stage with the many artists she admires; Rose Cousins, Justin Rutledge, Matthew Barber, The Weather Station, Kim Churchill, Miss Emily & more.
