“THE FUTURE OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS IN GOOD HANDS WITH UP AND COMING BANDS LIKE WHYGO IN THE RANKS” - SCOTT LEGGE, ATLANTIC SPOTLIGHT.
Originally from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, now based in Kingston, Ontario, WHYGO is a three piece alternative rock band with versatility, taking inspiration from genres such as blues, soul, classical, metal and virtually anything in between.
Consisting of Bass, Drums, Guitar and three unique vocalists, WHYGO uses their tight knit chemistry as a weapon when authoring heartfelt poeticism and composing graceful yet thrashing epics, all with the deliverance and edge that the world has come to crave when they hear the words "power trio."
On the backs of giants like Rush, The Tragically Hip, and Triumph to list only a few, these Canadian innovators are paving their own path as sonic pioneers. With the release of their first single “On The Line” on February 3, 2023, WHYGO gained the attention of Canadians with a popular TikTok video featuring the song’s radio Debut. Only four months later, they released a self-titled five track EP under Shoebox Records and followed up a year later with their full length album, “Silk”.
In between writing and recording, WHYGO performed many notable shows including back to back years at The Pictou Lobster Carnival where they opened the stages for “Big Sugar” and “The Blue Stones”. On February 15, 2025, WHYGO headlined the Glasgow Square Theatre only weeks before making their way to Ontario to play the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern.
With many more show dates on the horizon, WHYGO stays hard at work conjuring unforgettable live performances alongside devotedly sculpting their next upcoming album.
