Peter White

Peter White has been active as a singer-songwriter and performer in Sault Ste. Marie since 1980. Several of his recordings have been about the Sault including Voices from the Gathering Place (2010), Right Now Is Forever (2006), the musical Psychopomp (2009), and Coke Oven Joe and Sue Ste. Marie (1990). White’s other recordings are Snapshots (2008), The Blues is a Lady (2007), The Fates (2004) and Backroads (1991). In 2016, White also created an educational website for the Algoma District School Board (voices.adsb.on.ca) centred on the historical songs of Voices from the Gathering Place.
