Founded in the spring of 2016 and based in Chemainus, BC, Rainforest Arts operates under the umbrella of the Chemainus Valley Cultural Arts Society (CVCAS).Rainforest Arts is dedicated to celebrating Island artists through our retail gallery, website and by promoting all arts related events in the Cowichan Valley.
Our Mission Statement is:
“To showcase and support Island Artists and to promote excellence and creativity in all forms of visual arts.”
Summer Hours (June - September): Monday - Saturday 10 am - 5 pm; Sundays - 11 am - 4 pm
Winter Hours (October - May): Monday - Saturday 10 am - 5 pm
We are conveniently located in the heart of downtown Chemainus, just inside the Coastal Community Building on the south side of Waterwheel Parking Lot.
Participation in Rainforest Arts is open to artists on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. All artwork undergoes a jurying process and participants must become a member of the CVCAS.
Rainforest Arts relies solely on the generous support of volunteers. If you would like to become involved, please contact us. Whether you're interested in working on the managing committee, as a volunteer or as a consignment artist we'd love to meet you.
