The library has over 1,000 instruments and resources including guitars, keyboards, drums, horns, violins, percussion, amplifiers, exotic instruments, sheet music, and much more – and they’re all available to borrow … free of charge!

Free of Charge

Stop by the library, register ($15) and pick an instrument. Our coordinator will be happy to answer questions and help you find the right instrument to borrow. Our technicians have vast experience in repairing, maintaining and restoring musical instruments of all kinds.

A Volunteer-Run, Registered Charity

We are a registered charity in Kingston, Ontario founded by musician, Wally High, in memory of his friend and band member, the late Joe Chithalen, who was a talented bass player in several well-known Kingston bands. Joe’s M.I.L.L. operates in tribute to Joe’s love of music, so that anyone who wants to can enjoy playing music as much as he did.
