The VBA brings people together for the enjoyment, advancement, and preservation of Bluegrass and related acoustic music. It does this by organizing and supporting the Tuesday night bluegrass jam, open stage/feature nights, instructional workshops, special concerts, a young musician's bursary, local bluegrass radio programming, a website, and a newsletter.
If you want to listen to and learn more about bluegrass music, if you want to learn how to play one of the traditional bluegrass instruments (guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, dobro, and bass), if you want to play bluegrass music with like-minded individuals, if you want to become involved in the bluegrass scene in Victoria, this is the association for you.
