Event Description

Jordan Klassen makes cinematic folk-pop to set your imagination aloft. Think layered string arrangements, shimmering guitars, and a rich voice to top it all off - Sufjan Stevens meets the Shins, with a soft and dinstinctly Canadian twist. Grant Lawrence of CBC's Radio 3 called “Go To Me", the first single off his Kindness EP, one of the best songs of 2012.

Inspired by historical non-fiction and field recordings, particularly the esteemed National Parks Project, Skye’s songs are made out of stories that are hidden in plain sight. The resulting sound is both experimental, gritty, and orchestral.
