Event Description

Daniel Cook is a singer songwriter who fuses melodies with timeless stories creating a fresh brand of original West Coast roots music. He is also a great guitarist who blends melody and minimalism into a sweet mix of jazz and country guitar traditions.

Daniel has performed, written and recorded with a multitude of original BC bands in Vancouver such as Ngoma, Bangers, and Lawnmower, and in Victoria: Solid 7, Victoria's funk odyssey with Kia Kadiri & friends; and, he continues to perform with Washington & Cook, a Funkified Urban Jazz partnership with Maureen Washington.

In 2013 Daniel released his first solo album, Comfy Couches. These ten original songs quickly established him as a popular independent artist. Recognized for his song writing, 'Penny' received second place at the 2014 Islands Song Writing contest.
