Event Description

Join us from Friday, August 24 to Sunday, August 26 for a free, family- friendly festival that celebrates the diverse arts and culture community in Victoria, BC.

Integrate is an annual festival in downtown Victoria that is a highly needed opportunity for emerging artists in the city. As former Integrate artist and now current Integrate Festival Art Director Anna Shkuratoff states, “For the first time, I was able to share my years of creative work with the public and speak with visitors who were actively interested in looking at my work.”

ABOUT

Whether by foot, by bike, or by shuttle, explore an integration of the arts in Victoria!

HOW IT WORKS

Join us on Friday August 24 for our Opening Reception: Integrate Arts Festival, and catch the first glimpse of the work by our featured Integrate artists (http://integratearts.ca/), held at our HQ (1800 Store Street, in the corner suite)!

The Integrate Arts Festival map will guide the public to a variety of exhibitions and events at participating galleries, publicly accessible studios, and various sites throughout the city. You can access the map using the Integrate brochure (found at participating locations) as well as on our website. We encourage participants to walk or bike to each site on or optimal enjoyment of the festival. For those requiring more accessibility, the Modo Art Crawl Shuttle will be available on Friday evening and Saturday August 26 afternoon to circulate participants throughout the Victoria area. The route will be posted on our website, on social media, and in the brochure. The map and brochure are coming soon!

All performances and workshops will be listed on our website for you to customize your art crawl! By participating in the festival, visitors will learn new creative skills, support and network with the local artistic community, and have fun!

COST

Everything is FREE! All participating galleries, parties, events, and performances are free during the festival crawl. Some public galleries will revert to admission fees or 'by donation' on Sunday.

DONATE
As we are a non-profit society, obtaining funding for the festival each year is challenging. Please consider donating so that we can continue supporting local artists & spaces. Thank you for supporting the arts in YYJ!

The Integrate Art Society is situated on traditional and unceded Coast Salish territories, specifically of the Lekwungen and WSÁNEĆ peoples. We strive to remain mindful of the cultural impacts of ongoing colonialism and dispossession of Indigenous peoples as we continue to engage communities and hold events in this region.
