What happens when you take some of Victoria’s finest jazz players, mix them with a few funky rock players and hand them the Steely Dan catalogue? The Pretzel Logic Orchestra is an homage to Steely Dan and a labour of love for its nine members.
These guys have the chops it takes to interpret the complex and quirky material of the iconic 70’s song writing partnership of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker.
Fusing jazz sensibility with the rhythms of Rock, Pop and R&B, Steely Dan created a sophisticated sound that remains unique in music history and produced some of the most memorable and timeless songs of the decade.

The Pretzel Logic Orchestra was formed in Victoria, BC in 2002 and has played to consistently sold-out houses.. The very best players in that city have played in the band over the years, citing the excitement of the audiences and the complex arrangements of the songs as major inducements to be involved.
