With over 40 years of experience in the industry, Montreal’s jazz musician/educator Rémi Bolduc is unarguable one of Canada’s best saxophonists, having released 11 jazz albums that feature collaborations with notable musicians such as Kenny Werner, Marc Johnson, Ben Monder, and Jerry Bergonzi. Bolduc’s musical talent and expertise have earned him a dedicated following, with audiences captivated by his dazzling virtuosity and mature musical style. Since his arrival in Montreal in 1982, he has been highly active on the music scene, participating in numerous projects and recording several albums, as well as being a member of the Bernard Primeau Jazz Ensemble and the Vic Vogel Big Band. Beyond his musical achievements, he is a Yamaha Artist and D’Addario Canada Artist, and is an associate professor at McGill University in Montreal.
After having released their 2017 album Swingin’ With Oscar to critical acclaim, the Rémi Bolduc Jazz Quartet, featuring a lineup of top-tier Canadians, will celebrate iconic jazz pianist Oscar Peterson’s 100th birthday in 2025 at Hermann’s Jazz Club! Paying tribute to this legendary musician will be Taurey Butler piano, Dave Laing drums, and Ira Coleman bass.
