Steve Grebanier Guild is back revisiting the music of Pat Metheny, drawing from across the guitarist's vast catalogue. The selections are interpreted with freedom and care, staying close to the spirit without imitation. Long influenced by Metheny’s breadth and depth, Grebanier sees the project as both homage and creative challenge.

About Steve Grebanier
Steve Grebanier is a Victoria-based jazz guitarist with more than four decades of experience. His playing blends rhythmic drive, lyrical phrasing, and a conversational approach to improvisation—hallmarks of a voice that balances history, individuality, and groove.
He led the Toronto-based group Jukejoint for over seven years, touring across Canada, releasing two original albums, and performing at all of the country’s major jazz festivals—including the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and the TD Toronto Jazz Festival. Jukejoint’s performances were broadcast nationally on CBC Radio and Bravo!, including a full-hour studio concert filmed for MusicMax Montreal.
Now based on the West Coast, Grebanier has been a featured performer at the Victoria International Jazz Festival in a range of formats. He has performed in a long-running jazz guitar duo with Allan Vance, is a core member of the jazz/funk/soul collective Vancouver Island Dynamite, and currently leads the Steve Grebanier Guild—an ensemble that explores the many directions of modern jazz with a focus on groove, space, and melody.
He is also the producer of VIBE, the weekly arts and entertainment segment on CHEK News in Victoria
