Victoria fell in love with the Cuban-born Puentes Brothers, Adonis and Alex, many years ago, back when their first album was nominated for a Juno and won several other awards. The Puentes Brothers chose to pursue solo careers a decade ago and have seen great success. Adonis’s first solo recording, Vida, was a dance-friendly take on traditional Cuban music and received national airplay and numerous awards. His most recent album, Sabor a Café, was nominated for “World Music Album of the Year” at the 2014 Juno Awards. Adonis is an increasingly mature and compelling singer – even the legendary Juan de Marcos calls him a true soñero. Featured with the Adonis Puentes Band is fellow Cuban musician Pancho Amat, who is a master of the tres. They perform a complex and highly melodic style of Cuban music for enthusiastic audiences.
