Formed at the University of North Texas and currently based in Brooklyn, the jazz-plus Snarky Puppy is an instrumental fusion band led by Grammy winning bassist and composer Michael League. After 10 CDs and a proud history of routinely performing with such diverse artists as Erykah Badu, Roy Hargrove, and Snoop Dog, these YouTube champs have a flair for reaching out to younger audiences. They won a Grammy award in 2014 for “Best R&B Performance” for their song “Something” with singer Lalah Hathaway. JazzTimes named them “Best New Artist” and “Best Electric/Jazz-Rock/Contemporary Group/Artist” in their 2014 Reader’s Poll. Thanks to an infectious mixture of jazz, funk, and world music, Snarky Puppy gets the party hopping! Michael League bass/Musical Director, Larnell Lewis drums, Nate Werth percussion, Cory Henry keys, Justin Stanton keys/trumpet, Chris Bullock saxophone/flute, Michael Maher trumpet/flugelhorn, Bob Lanzetti guitar
