Hotel Wolfe Island - Shop local. Shop in Frontenac.

Many are familiar with Hotel Wolfe Island by its former moniker, The General Wolfe Inn. Aside from the new name, the place is now undergoing some exciting changes. Interior spaces are under renovation. Inside there’s a new restaurant in the works called the Owl. It’s directly adjacent to a yet-to-be-named, intimate lounge and music venue. Upstairs are cozy hotel rooms and spacious suites now open for guests. Across the street there’s a new dock and park space with a handy al fresco full-menu restaurant with a great view of the water and Kingston.

Staying the weekend? The Market at Wolfe Island Commons happens right there Saturday mornings from spring to fall.

The proprietors of The Hotel on Wolfe Island emphasize locally sourced farm-to-table food, sustainable agriculture, inclusive culture, and great live music. It’s a nexus on Wolfe Island for islanders, artists, musicians, visitors: lovely people of all walks of life.

The whole shebang is well poised for big things underway for Wolfe Island over the next couple of years, too. Aside from the anticipated post-pandemic tourism boom, there are new ferry landing facilities under construction at Kingston and Marysville. There’s also an all-new, all-electric, Wolfe Islander ferry under commission right now.

There will shortly be a whole host of new reasons to visit Wolfe Island. You should go take a sneak peek now . . . .
