Carson Fry

Carson has been playing trombone and bass trombone for more than seven years in a variety of ensembles including concert bands, marching bands, jazz big bands, jazz combos and funk bands. He is currently studying at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, BC.

Since September of 2010 he has been involved with his current project, a funk/rock band called Schizophonic, which performs a relatively broad spectrum of styles and performs both orginal material and a variety of covers. He is a contributing member of the band as far as writing original material and developing new ideas for performances. Carson's goal is to develop Schizophonic from a band playing several bar gigs per month, to a full time touring act.

Carson's biggest influences in music come from the band Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Toto, Herbie Hancock, and a variety of other sources.
